kindergarten creature project

This was a large scale collaboration with bunch of kids!
3 kindergarten classes, 14 kids each class.

As part of our contribution to our kid's school to raise money, we asked all the kids to draw any creature/s they want, then I recreate them based on their imagination. At the end of the process, we print, frame and sold them to their parents. It was a real treat for me and my wife to see the kids imaginations. F U N. More to see here.

Heard the buzz about Jeremy Lin, so I watched the Knicks vs Mavericks this morning. It was a great game. And Yes he is still the Linsanity, the Lintastic, the Lincredible. Keep up the awesomeness!

Ready for thursday show. New home made, hand made, 100% green business card. :D
Started with a regular white stock but coulden't find a thick enough card stock. So I ended up with a Vellum paper. Kind of interesting to see through the print on both sides.

Chaosmatic

My latest series called "chaosmatic" is my interpretation of chaos in the world, by using anime-inspired line-characters to inject fun into the piece. I use anything from random shapes to things which reminded me of my childhood. Fish, rabbit, robot, octopus, rocket and many other fun, random things, intermingle in one environment. I use mostly wood-board as the base, acrylic, wax and paint marker as the main medium to draw my characters. I then build them up in layers to create the sense of chaotic, yet fun and energetic environment.
With it, I wish to brighten the chaotic world one painting at a time.

RAW: Seattle Pulse

It was a nice surprise when I got an invitation from http://www.rawartists.org to participate in their Seattle Pulse event this October. Apparently this event was design by and for artists from all different discipline. From Visual art to fashion to music and hair style. Strange to hear at first but it's actually an interesting concept. I'm excited to be apart of it.
